What is ADP?

• ADMIRALTY Digital Publications (ADP) are computer-based versions of the UKHO's market-leading paper-based nautical reference guides - ADMIRALTY Nautical Publications. ADP applications are widely accepted as meeting SOLAS carriage requirements for nautical reference guides, and contain the same information as their paper equivalents.

ADP includes:

• ADMIRALTY Digital Radio Signals Volume 6 – essential maritime radio communications information for 3,600 service locations worldwide
• ADMIRALTY Digital List of Lights – the world-leading source of navigational light and fog signal information
• ADMIRALTY TotalTide – the world's most comprehensive, real-time tidal prediction program, bringing global tidal height and stream data together

ADP offers:

ADMIRALTY Digital Radio Signals 1, 3, 4, 5 (ADRS 1, 3, 4, 5) assists the mariner in routine radio communications, receiving and providing weather reports and safety information, pollution and quarantine reporting, seeking Telemedical Assistance Services (TMAS) and provides detailed procedures in the event of a distress or SAR incident.

The ADMIRALTY Digital List of Lights provides light and fog signal information for more than 70,000 unique light structures worldwide. Users can get weekly updates by email and DVD or access the information online as soon as it becomes available. It is now accepted in place of the paper version by a growing number of flag states.

As part of the wider ADP portfolio of computer-based nautical reference guides, regular electronic updates can be received via internet download, email or disc, applied accurately with a minimum of manual intervention. Crews can also find relevant services quickly by searching via the graphic window, text string or position.

ADMIRALTY Digital Radio Signals 2 (ADRS 2) provides a range of regularly updated and compliant, digital positional and timekeeping references.

Easy-to-use and clearly displayed, it aids mariners’ calculations of positions and times worldwide, to help ensure ships are at the right place at the right time.

ADMIRALTY Digital Radio Signals 6 provides maritime radio communications information for pilot services, vessel traffic services and port operations worldwide. More than 3000 service locations are updated quickly and efficiently via email or DVD every week. Now accepted in place of the paper version by a growing number of flag states. It is sold as one of the programs available within the ADMIRALTY Digital Publications package. You can buy as many programs in the package as you need, as and when you need them.

The world's most comprehensive tidal prediction program provides fast, accurate tidal height and tidal stream predictions. The software automates the prediction process, reduces the possibility of user error and provides an easy means of viewing both underkeel and safe overhead clearances. It contains tidal information for over 7,000 ports and more than 3,000 tidal stream stations worldwide. It is now accepted in place of the paper tide tables as carriage compliant by a large (and growing) number of flag states.

AENPs are e-book versions of our world-leading paper-based Nautical Publications. They allow bridge crews to speed up the updating process and give them easier access to information they need.

AENPs are displayed using the ADMIRALTY e-Reader. This is a specifically designed, easy-to-use reader software developed by the UKHO, and is supplied as part of the service at no extra cost. ADMIRALTY e-Reader also has a simple search function that allows users to access information easily and quickly.

Carriage Compliance
All AENPs contain the same official information as their paper equivalents, and most Flag States have approved them as SOLAS carriage-compliant. AENPs can also aid inspections by clearly showing when a publication was last updated.
